Epiphyllum are an epyphitic cacti as the name suggests. They also have tremendous blooms.
Their flowers are impressive in size, color, and often times fragrance! Fragrance is the one aspect of Epiphyllum that is simply not admirable unless you own one.
A single bloom on certain 'orchid cacti' has the ability to incense an entire house.
Epiphyllum do best in partial shade in a fertile soil mix. Keep reasonable moist throughout the year, a little less so in winter. They enjoy humidity and so benefit from spraying.

A mound of small rice-grain-like green succulent stems which grow into long branching arching stems. Mature happy plants flower with white starry fringed bell flowers at the tips of the stems, which become white berries. In the wild it is epiphytic (grows on trees) hence the common name of mistletoe cactus.
Plant in free-draining gritty soil out of direct sunlight but with good filtered light. The leaf tips will turn reddish if it gets too cold.
Very little needed. Keep it frost free, water little and often, and reduce watering in winter dormant period.
